The Scottish version of bastard. Originates from Lowland Scottish dialect where it is a common profanity.
Policeman: "Why on Earth did you body-slam that PBS-reporter?! I'm sure he didn't really mean to insult you."
Seamus the Brutal Scotsman: "Naw, real fookin McCoy this'un. Called me Shamu, the sleekit wee basturt!"
